Carrotwood Tree

Tropical Midsize shade tree, known botanically as Cupaniopsis anacardioides, grows well in Southern California, reaching 35 feet in height. Has smooth, grey-colored outer bark, while its inner bark is orange-colored. Intense color of the inner bark is the reason this tree is commonly known as "carrotwood".
